What to Expect
Regardless of your background, you are welcome at the Community Congregational Church of Lone Rock! Our goal is to worship God “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24) and encourage one another as we “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (II Peter 3:18).
When you visit our church, you can expect:
- Sunday School for all ages, starting at 9:00am
- Worship Service, starting at 10:15am
- A warm welcome from a friendly, informal congregation
- Worship services typically last around an hour
- Bible-centered preaching and prayer
- Uplifting music; including traditional and contemporary music styles
- Children's Church available during the sermon
- Fellowship luncheon after the service
- Communion service held every first Sunday of the month
- Community involvement opportunities
Our church is located at
202 S. Chestnut St., and parking is located along the South and West sides of the Church.
If you have mobility restrictions we encourage you to park on the West side of the church where the handicapped entrance and elevator are located.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church,
for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get His approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice.
WHEN YOU WALK IN,
find one of our greeters and introduce yourself. They're usually stationed just up the stairs outside of the sanctuary, and they'll show you where everything is.
They'll help you find the nursery and Sunday school areas if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, and fellowship area.
If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
BE SURE TO HANG AROUND AFTER THE SERVICE AND JOIN US FOR COFFEE AND OUR FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON.
You'll have a chance to meet our pastor and many other people in the church. We'd also love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come.
